The OfficeIPLink™ PBX can perform call queuing.

Originally thought to be the domain of larger Corporates, Government Departments, and Call Centres (largely due to costs involved), many smaller businesses are using call queueing as a way of managing calls professionally.

With additional modules, you can visually view the queues live as well as gain statistics that can be used for monthly reporting showing whether you are currently handling the number of calls, whether you need additional staff, and also as a gauge whether your latest paper/radio/magazine advertisement has had any affect.

The Call Queueing system works with either Dynamic or Static agents. For those that have not used Call Queueing systems before, this means that you can set certain extensions to always be members of the Call Queue (means that there phone will always ring if a call is in the Queue), or you can optionally allow agents to log in and log out of the queue.

The Call Queues allows you to set various options, to numerous to mention all here but include the following

  • Selection of Music-On-Hold or Ringing Tone
  • Periodic Queue Position Announcements at times you can select
  • Periodic Expected Time in the Queue Announcements at times you can select
  • Queue Breakout IVR's (e.g. allowing them to leave a message instead of waiting in the queue)
  • Maximum wait time in the Queue before fail-over to Voicemail or Ring Groups or other OfficeIPLink™ PBX Features
  • Call Recording
  • Various Ring Strategies (e.g. Ring all, Round Robin, Least Recent, Fewest Calls, Random)
  • CID Prefix (Plain English prefix shown on phone showing what Queue they have come in on)

As mentioned, you don't have to have music on hold, it is also a perfect way of advertising your company's products or services by replacing the Music-On-Hold recording with a professionally recorded advertisement. Remember, you don't need to have a separate box attached to your PBX with a special chip. Most recording companies can email you the finished recording which can be placed directly on the OfficeIPLink™ PBX System.
