Call Parking is a method of placing a call on hold allowing it to be picked up from any extension where transferring the call is not feasible (e.g. the extension is down the back of the factory and no one is there to pickup the call), or you want to race upstairs to check a clients file, and it is easier to take the call upstairs.

When you park the call, it will repeat an extension number back to you. At this point you can hangup the call. When you reach another phone extension, you can press that extension number (as was given to you), and you will retrieve that call. You can set time frames for the call to be picked up, so that if you get caught up, or don't get back to the caller in time, the call will be regarded as an orphan call. The system will take back an orphan call and based on the settings that you provide for orphan calls, it can return back to the original phone, it can be sent to he receptionist, or just about any other option that you decide.
